Ideas for life

In more than eighty years of history, Trüggelmann has acquired unquestionable experience in cabinetmaking. Its in-depth knowledge of the extreme versatility of wood has led the company to research the myriad of ways the material can be processed to create new refined and exclusive collections on an ongoing basis. In some cases, wood remains the undisputed main actor in the item, in other cases, we enrich its natural versatility by combining it with other materials. Trüggelmann works predominantly with solid wood, whose special aroma fills carpentry workshops and harks back to the time of the carpenter’s workshop. Trüggelmann combines cabinetmaking and innovation to create unique collections with an unquestionable qualitative value. The final product results from an equally rare but valuable meeting of skilled workmanship and the quality of the material used. Environmental matters are a priority for Trüggelmann and it is making a concerted effort to reduce the rubbish which results from the wood processing phase. The company recognises the importance of responsible forestry, which entails making an informed decision to deal with wood suppliers who observe the sustainability standards. The wood that Trüggelmann uses comes from European and non-European countries in which strict forestry and forest protection laws apply. The company sources its raw materials solely from forests in which cultivation is always controlled and new planting is immediately undertaken to replace the fallen trees. The sustainable cultivation of the natural heritage is crucial to achieve a significant improvement both on an ecological as well as on a social level: To improve the effects of climate change, guarantee improved living conditions and to combat the trade in illegally harvested wood. This is all Trüggelmann – quality and sustainability in everything we do.
